New Spokenperson Appointed for Controllers Commission in Mexico City

A controllers' commission session was held in Mexico City where María Teresa Herrera Tello was appointed as the official spokesperson. She spoke about the need to strengthen ethical principles and foster a culture of legality from a young age.


The First Ordinary Session and Plenary Assembly of the Permanent Commission of Controllers States-Federation (CPCE-F) was held at the facilities of the Undersecretariat for Anti-Corruption and Good Government in Mexico City. During the event, Alejandra Pani Barragán, Secretary of the State Controller's Office of Morelos, was sworn in as National Coordinator in the presence of the Undersecretary for Anti-Corruption, Guadalupe Araceli García Martínez, and the Undersecretary for Good Government, Alejandro Encinas Nájera. The General Controller of Nuevo León, María Teresa Herrera Tello, was appointed as the official spokesperson for the CPCE-F. Upon taking on the responsibility of strengthening institutional communication, Herrera Tello emphasized the need to foster civic awareness from an early age, based on ethical principles and public responsibility. She stated that the goal is to decisively influence society, especially the youth, through clear, close, and committed language, allowing for the sowing of a culture of legality, integrity, accountability, and rejection of corruption from an early age. The official explained that this is not just about complying with regulatory requirements, but about consolidating institutional practices that ensure the responsible use of public resources and strengthen citizens' trust in their institutions. Among the functions of the position are to guarantee strategic, transparent, and timely communication for the Permanent and Plenary Commissions through the constant updating of their electronic portal, activities, programs, and results, and the administration of social networks. They also include the design and production of printed and digital materials, strengthening the institutional image, preventing misinformation, and promoting the exchange of experiences and best practices.
